Everyone living in rental accommodation is welcome to become a member of the tenant union. Our dues-paying members enjoy benefits such as tenant organizing training, a tenant clinic, income tax clinic, free tenant union merch, etc. You will also be invited to our meetings, community socials and mobilizing events.
The dues we contribute come back to us as the lifeblood of our organizing. They open the doors to our meeting spaces, fill the tables where we gather and share food, carry our message through flyers in every hallway, and fuel the campaigns that turn collective frustration into real change. Each dollar is a small act of solidarity that, together, becomes impossible to ignore.
We've set membership due at one hours' wage a month or a minimum is 10 dollars a month (5 for seniors and folks on fix income). For those who cannot make a monetary contribution, you can become a member by signing up to contribute time!
Here are the ways to pay your dues:
- Monthly or Annually online, through signing up here.
-
Yearly in person or online.
- You can pay your dues via cheque addressed to York South-Weston Tenant Union, at 2575 Eglinton Avenue West, Toronto.
- Or you can also pay in cash for your yearly contribution (starts at 60 dollars).
- Not able to pay? You can sign up to contribute with TIME. You'll register as a volunteer and let us know the time you have available to be part of this fight.
Remember, we are stronger together!
