Wednesday November 22nd is National Housing Day. Tenants all over the city and province are struggling to keep a roof over their heads with ever-rising rents. Hundreds of tenants in York South-Weston are on a rent strike protesting skyrocketing rents and lack of repairs.
Join thousands to march for Fair Rent and tell Doug Ford that enough is enough. We want full rent control, ban on AGIs and vacancy control.
Will you join us?
Meet us at our YSW Tenant Union office (2575 Eglinton Ave West) at 10AM where we will have a bus take us to the rally and march downtown. Lunch will be included. The bus will bring everyone back to our office by 2:30pm. If you would like to meet us directly downtown for the march, you can meet us at 11:30am at Queen and University.
